Difficultiess often arise in families when they are going through a transition from one stage of development to another. A new child arrives or, more likely, the first one leaves home. When conflict or some kind of infidelity arrives on the scene, it is a sign that understandings need to be renegotiated and shared beliefs reconsidered. This is the time for talking and for help in having that talk. Don't give up. Talking works.
